A real heart for minds
My wholehearted passion for what I do – and especially what it delivers in terms of people’s futures – is something I wear proudly on my sleeve. But I know that when it comes to choosing a psychologist, three other things really matter to people,,,
Experience
Have they done it before for people like me or businesses like mine?
Qualifications
Have they been properly trained, with the right skills?
Chemistry
Is it going to work as a relationship? Because that’s what it is.
One. Experience
If you’d like a full CV, please do ask, but in short, I’ve worked in individual and organisational assessment and development for over 20 years – in Europe, Asia and the US, and across a range of sectors, including Finance, Retail and Manufacturing. So I really have been there, seen that and done it before – and always to the best of my ability. I have also coached many men and women who have needed help to find a way forward, often unique to them, by overcoming a challenge or obstacle or identifying where they want to get to.. Have a look at what some of my coachees say.
Two. Qualifications
I am a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (CPsychol), an Associate Fellow of the British Psychology Society (AFBPsS) and a qualified Coaching Psychologist. Indeed, I don’t think we should ever stop learning, so while the list below is long, it’ll probably keep on growing.

Awarded Chartered Status in Occupational Psychology British Psychological Society (BPS), 2010

Three. Chemistry
While it’s impossible to know whether you’ll have a working chemistry with someone before you meet, there are certain things that help make it happen when you do. Genuine passion and compassion, humanity, authenticity and the ability to listen thoughtfully, for example, are quite fundamental to a trusting, two-way working relationship. And I feel my own experience has helped me in all those ways.
Having stepped away from work for several years to have my children and having then returned to working life, I have a completely fresh perspective on what I do, as well as on human nature and understanding. And I also have an even stronger drive to help others through all kinds of transitions, especially returning to work. Coaching during such transitional phases is crucial – and certainly helped me know myself, know exactly where I want to be and love every minute of it. And in short, that’s all I want to do for others, helping them feel as good as possible about who they are and where they’re heading
